    So after reading this,

    You may soon be able to load an APK on BlackBerry 10, right from the File Manager or Browser | CrackBerry.com

    It seems like Blackberry is almost just another android variant like touchwiz and sense at this point. While I understand there are huge technical differences between Android and QNX, if you can just install APKs natively on BB10, it seems like BB should really be considered part of the Android family.

    Yes, and no... BlackBerry has been able to use Android apps for a while now, but that's because it's emulating part of the OS, just like BlueStacks does on Windows. But that story has been 'denied' by BlackBerry (but doesn't necessarily make it false just yet hehe).

    This is a fact.
    With the new os version, apk's no longer need to be converted.
    Version 10.2.1 Of bb10 can install on device. No more sideloading
