Galaxy S3 on network

Can an unlocked att galaxy s3 be used on the t Mobile network and if so if in a LTE area will the LTE work properly

I believe it has the AWS band needed for LTE. However it lacks the AWS band for HSPA+, so it will be incredibly slow in a non LTE area.
