I just called Verizon to switch my month to month plan over to a More Everything to save some money and they threw in an extra gig a month for the next 12 months without me asking. It sounds like it's for anyone making plan changes, but not sure if you can get the promotion without making a change. They also said it'll drop automatically at the end of the 12 months, so no need to worry about canceling anything or worry about a surprise charge showing up on your bill after.

No, I was on a 700 min family plan with 4 GB per line non-shared data on 2 lines. Went to More Everything with 8 GB shared and the CSR told me about the extra gig offer.
