I'm guessing you've already got this resolved, but I'll put the info here anyways. Because Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile are both owned by Sprint, moving from Sprint to one of those prepaid carriers isn't a normal port-out, it's referred to as a "migration". Call sprint and request that they start a migration case. Takes about 4 days to go through. If you're under a contract or installment billing, it will be treated the same as a cancelation. But your phone and phone number will be moved to the prepaid carrier.
