I have a Galaxy Note 4 Edge with the Wireless Insurance Plan with Asurion. Today my screen cracked diagonally. I thought that my upgrade eligibility wasn't going to be until December, but found that I'm actually eligible now. I have enjoyed the Note series, but I am aware of the problems with the Note 7, and that they are no longer selling it.

Would Asurion tell me what phone they would send as a replacement for the Note 4 Edge? Would it be worth it to pay the $200 deductible for a replacement phone, and wait to upgrade later?

If I were to decide to upgrade now, I doubt I would be offered any trade in on the Note 4 Edge, becaue of the cracked screen, and I haven't been keeping up with what phones are highly regarded in Verizon's current offerings to know if I should just upgrade or wait. No interest in an iPhone.

    Open to all opinions!

Addition would tell you what phone they are replacing it with.

I bought a moto z play and they did offer me$300 for a cracked screen g4. But not all devices will qualify.

Personally I think that the best options are the s7 and s7 edge and pixel.

Asurion would tell you what phone they would offer as a replacement through insurance. You can decide whether it would be worth it or not to play the deductible then

I'm guessing you mean Asurion for Addition? In any case, I did decide to go with the insurance claim, they told me that they did still have the Note 4 Edge in stock for replacement. Wasn't excited for any of the current phones, and decided to save my upgrade for when another phone comes along that I absolutely MUST have. And I have loved my Note 4 Edge experience. Saves me from buying a bunch of accessories as well too.
