    Hi all,
    is it possible to remotely shutdown an android smartphone?

    does an android app exist to do that?

    Please consider my device is not rooted...

    uhmmm...my phone has not any SIM inserted in...
    it only uses wireless to navigate internet...

    it seems this apk needs to send an SMS to the device to shutdown it...

    is it?

    if not, may you please give me a safe link to download that apk?

    OK, first thing, an apology! The link is for rooted phones only. There is no way that I could find to achieve this over wifi, sorry

    Welcome to Android Central! You could use Google's Find My Device to remotely lock it. Is that good enough, or does the phone actually have to power down?

    Google find my mobile and if Samsung phone find my Samsung, they will erase and lock down
