ok..so I'm looking for an app EXACTLY like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=netroken.android.persistfree cause it'll let me control individual volume elements..such as NOTIFICATIONS volume, which has always been on the soft side on my phone.

the only problem with this app is they want me to pay a subscription fee($2.99 a year) or interact with video ads.

um...nope. not happening.

security risk there.

so..what I wanna know, is this..are there any apps out there that have this level of flexibility..but dont ask me to sell my soul to the digital devil every year?

What is the phone type? Have you tried the pull down with the volume sliders, or adjusted through settings?
Good luck

That's my thinking as well. If all you are looking for is notification volume settings, that should be included in your phone's settings. Apps like the OP linked to are for automation. If the volume is at max and it is still too quiet, no app will fix that without risk of damaging the speaker by over-driving it. It may be that the audio file itself was recorded too low, or perhaps go with a different track that is more easily heard.

As for the security risks of paying for an app subscription or ads, that's not really a thing and wouldn't be worried about it.

phone's a motorola moto g7, carrier is google fi..and this here is what I get in the settings, identical sliders when I try pulling down.

I'll check out the suggested app in the meantime.

From Moto :
To adjust the volume level of notifications:

To change the notification sound for a specific app:

Touch & hold the app icon.

Touch > Notifications.

Touch the category for checkmarked notifications, then touch Advanced > Sound and select a unique ringtone, or set it to none.

To adjust the volume level of notifications:

Press a Volume button and on the screen touch
Adjust the Ring volume slider.

..no wonder I thought volume styles lacked an ad removal option..its half way down the bloody page, sandwiched between two different os presets!

thanks guys, this one works pretty well.
