ClockWorkMod Zip Installation Aborted

Hi, I have a HTC inspire and its been rooted and clockworkmod installed. However whenever I try installing a .zip file in clockwork it always gives me this message:
-- Installing: /sdcard/ROMs/update.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Instalation aborted.

I tried redownloading my zip file and trying other zip files. I am trying to install an app. Can someone please tell me what might be the problem? I'm fairly new to android and not too familiar with everything so when I bought the phone, the seller had it rooted, turned s-off and installed clockworkmod. Thanks.

Which version of Clockwork are you using?

You may need to update to the latest version. Many of the new Rom's are using a more robust update script than the older clockwork supports.

You should be able to update Clockwork with ROM Manager though I'm not specifically sure about your device (I know some have issues with ROM Manager). Check the Rom's and Hacks sub forum for you device, there is likely a Clockwork thread there.
