Hi all ! I have general doubts about privacy and other stuff on FB,INSTAGRAM,YOUTUBE,WHATSAPP and GOOGLE PHOTOS:

    FACEBOOK
1)Are my personal email and also backup email reserved or other users can see them too ?

    INSTAGRAM
1)Is my personal email reserved or other users can see it too ?
2)What is the function of the icon of the arrow pointing upwards closed in a sort of semicircle ? (I hope I've made myself clear enough, otherwise I can make myself clearer)

    YOUTUBE
1)HOW DO YOU SHARE A VIDEO VIA YOUTUBE ? Since when since September 2019 have deleted the messages that I know can only be shared through third party apps and not with youtube itself, confirmed ?
    2) HOW DO I FIND THE YOUTUBE FRIENDS LIST? I have never seen it, the only list I have is the Google Contacts section.
3)A more technical question: on Android I linked my Google account with the Youtube app and it didn't let me disconnect anymore, so I uninstalled the recent updates of the app to bring it back to the original version (now it doesn't let me use it and it tells me to update it).Did I make a mess according to you (like sharing something by mistake) or Did I just disconnect the account and that's it?

PS: my phone is: Samsung Galaxy J5

    WHATSAPP:
1)in a whatsapp group for now I can only see through the info all the users who have viewed my message. But can I see every time a certain user has visited a group (ex: Andrea entered Wednesday at 15:30 or I can only see when he displays the message and that's it ?
I hope I have been clear.

    GOOGLE PHOTOS
1)On my phone when I make a photo it is automatically saved on Google Photos app. But is it at the same time automatically shared or not ? Because when I control shared files option the section is empty.

    GENERAL STUFF
1)on fb and instagram is it possible to find out EXACTLY the real identity of a fake profile, or can I only suppose it ? Because in this period I am receiving many requests from fake profiles.

Excuse the length of the post, but I have many doubts.
I hope you can resolve them.

By "reserved" do you mean hidden? If so - you can go into your profile (this is best done on a computer) and click the button with the eye on it. By doing that you enter the "view as" view, with the default as public. That way you can see what's available publicly.

    GOOGLE PHOTOS

Unless you actually share the items they should remain private.

You'll only be able to see what they choose to allow you to see. Just because it's possibly a "fake" profile does not mean the security on it is somehow different from a "real" one.

Yes, by "reserved" I mean hidden, if only I can see it or other users can see it too.
By default both the Facebook registration email and the recovery email are hidden or can other users see them too?
What about the registration email of instagram ?
Do you confirm that the google photos files remain personal, and therefore there is no automatic sharing?

I moved this from the Android Apps forum to the General Help forum, since the former is intended for developers to promote their apps.

There are several ways to share a video on YouTube. I have done it through iMovie on my Mac, but it can also be done as an upload through the YouTube page or cross-shared from Google photos (select the video in Photos and select to share it then YouTube for the place to share it).

I don't believe there's a friends list on YouTube. There is a list of channels you've subscribed to, and I believe the channel owner can see if someone that commented on a video was a subscriber.

YouTube also has a help section, this link is directly to the section there that covers uploading a video - https://support.google.com/youtube/t..._topic=9257610

    1. There are a few ways to upload videos to YouTube, it can be done from your phone or a computer. I'm able to go into my gallery, select a video, hit share, and YouTube is an option. Here is the official help page from Google on how to upload a video.
    https://support.google.com/youtube/a...DAndroid&hl=en

    2. YouTube isn't a typical form of social media and doesn't have a friends list. You can subscribe to channels and others can subscribe to you. You can see your subscriptions at the bottom of the YouTube app, if you view your channel information it will show how many are subscribed to you but I'm not sure if it's possible to view who is subscribing.

    3. Google owns YouTube and I think it requires a Google account to sign in(I've used my Gmail for a decade now, not sure if they allow other email accounts). Also some apps won't function if you don't keep them up to date, this can be for a variety of reasons from security flaws getting patched to changes in features offered by the app or service. By uninstalling the updates you broke the app and prevented it from working, you didn't disconnect your account from YouTube. If you don't want your Google email associated with YouTube anymore you need to go to YouTubes website and delete your account. I've never heard of an app or service where deleting the app would also delete the account used to sign in.

Hope this helps answer some of your questions.

About first question: I knew that few times ago it was possible sharing a youtube video directly on youtube by sending an email to friends, and I wanted to know if this feature had been removed permanently

About third question:but in doing so,did I accidentally share something with my phone contacts?

Are you asking about sharing a video that you watched to people using email? Or are you asking about recording a video, trying to send it to friends and end up having it upload to YouTube and the link shared to your friends?

Unless you actually chose to share something chances are pretty good you didn't.

There's still a share function. From a desktop browser (Chrome on your computer) it gives you a link you can copy to put into an email. When done from the YouTube app on your mobile device it does generate the email with a link in the body and pre-set text (which, by the way, you could have just tested yourself).

About 3:Yeah,now I have on the phone the original version of the app, which needs update to work. But when I go to youtube on mobile/Pc my account isn't logged. Maybe I have to log in every time

I have another question:I am anxious to share files with my contacts via PC and especially via mobile phone, especially when surfing the Internet. When maybe I copy/paste something, click on a link, icon or making other steps,I'm afraid that unintentionally I'll share something.
My question is: basically, especially on mobile, must you enter the app and then click on share to share a file ? Can't you share something without realizing it,right?
Ps:but is it possible that a file sharing notification appears on my phone and that by clicking on it I automatically share ?
If I have not been clear I am available for clarification

You don't have to log in every time, but your PC and your phone are separate devices.

Regarding the "file sharing" (based on your questions I'm not entirely sure "files" are what you're sharing), unless you actively act to share something it's not being shared. In the case of a YouTube video it takes a minimum of 3 taps on the screen PLUS entry of an email address to share a video link to someone. It's difficult to "unintentionally share" something.

The article says that private messages are deleted.
There isn't the chance to send a message directly via Youtube anymore. So Is there no danger to send a private email to a friend unwittingly anymore ?

Here from the official page of Youtube help

So does it means that also private friend list is deleted ?
