Please see prior thread for long, drawn out story if you need background info

I had a partial black "oval" at the side of my Galaxy Note 9. Had to go through two (2) OLED replacements until they found one that worked.

It was not until several days later, however, that I tried to use the stylus.

The Note 9 recognizes when I remove/insert the stylus, and I can use the stylus button to take pictures, etc.

But I cannot use the stylus to write on the screen anymore.

The technician took it apart and made sure all of the connections were snug, but no joy. He is now ordering another screen to rule that out as the problem.

Any ideas on what else it could be?

Edit: it was the 2nd replacement screen; it was also bad. The 3rd one worked like a charm.

@mustang7757: no, but I will.

Edit: Safe mode made no difference; I can use my finger to draw on the screen (as in 'normal' mode), but I can't use the stylus to draw, touch the screen, etc.
@Mike Dee: Yes. The first time I tried to use the s-Pen, it gave some kind of error about not being paired. I poked around in the settings until I found a way to re-pair it. It is re-paired, but the screen still does not "recognize" the stylus when it touches it.
