How can I boost my phone's performance and cool down my battery

I have a new lgk51 it seem to slow down a lot and it overheats quite a bit what can I do to make it faster

Welcome to Android Central! The LG K51 has a Helio P22 processor which is fairly low end, so if you're trying to run hardware-intensive apps (like high end games), it can cause the phone to heat up more and bog down. Not much you can do about that besides not play those games or upgrade to a more powerful phone.

Stop using the Home button when you're finished using an app* and start using the Back button.

*(The Home button just runs the launcher - it leaves the app running in the background. So you have many, many apps all running at once, slowing the phone down and causing heat.)
