my internal phone memory is full, is there a way to take some of my apps and put them on my sd card. Im thinking uninstalling google maps and facebook, yahoo messenger which are some of my large files. is there a way to get those programs in .apk format and put them on my sd card instead of having market keep installing them on my internal memory? does my phone have to be rooted to do that because it isnt?

thanks

Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage applications...click on the app and then tap move to sd card. I believe you have to be running 2.2 or higher to do this. You aren't going to be able to move Maps this way, I'm not sure about yahoo messenger and facebook, but you can clear data for these app on the same screen that lets you move apps from phone to sd and vice versa. Alot of times the stored data for these apps is much larger than the app itself.

You can also use apps 2 sd https://market.android.com/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd.pro&feature=search_result

Hope this helps.
