data shutting down during a phone call

Within the last week my moto g(7) (Android 10) started turning 'online' data off during a phone call on the Straight Talk network.

What gives and how do I go about reversing this so I might use the internet while making or taking a call while on this phone like I have been able to for the last year?

Try making a call in safe mode and see if it turns it off.

Welcome to Android Central! Simultaneous voice and data typically requires VoLTE. Are you certain VoLTE is turned on for your phone?
