Help using Chrome on my Motorola tech21

I cannot use Chrome on my phone without it interrupting me while in the middle of composing a text a tab will open up with an advertisement. If I leave Chrome on it, each time I activate my phone I will immediately have to close anywhere from one to twenty tabs in order to get back to my apps page to use the phone. Without Chrome I can't go to a link that is within a text or email. Very frustrated.

Have you blocked pop-ups in Chrome’s Settings?
