i set up my gmail account on my infuse manually and do not use the gmail application that is preloaded. I set up the gmaail account as a pop account but when i read the email it goes away. i have checked leave email on server. Is there something i need to change on the gmail settings on the computer?

You need to set it up using IMAP settings or use the included Gmail application. For me, also using an Infuse, the Gmail app is much better than the standard e-mail app on the phone.
