At my job big red is notorious for poor quality. I work in a school and the residents dont want a tower in their neighboorhood, it will lower property value. Anyway, with my BB I could text and get email. Now on my X2 I can get texts, but i cant respond or get emails. I am open to ANY solutions. Thanks i need to text throughout the day.

The hardware on both phones are different. That is the reason why one phone can't pick up a data signal, which is required for email or other web features. I don't think text is sent through the data network. So you might have a considerably better voice/text signal and poor data signal -- it happens. Your only option would be to switch the data to WiFi if you receive a signal and receive or send email that way.

Just use caution with what you send or receive. Also make sure to know the internet policy your job has in place ;)
