Gmail Forwarding Messages question

I tried searching through the forums for an hour and couldn't find the answer.

How can I see the original message once I've forwarded it to someone else on the GMail app?

Once I've forwarded a message, all I can see from the original message is:

>
> ---------- Forwarded message ----------
> From: "Somebody"
<sombeody@somewhere...

And that's it! When I scroll down further, it just gives the me standard "Reply", "Reply to all", and "Forward" buttons. I've gone to the "Sent" folder and I can only see the same truncated message. I've searched through the Menu options and can't find anything either.

There was an old thread from months ago that reported this behavior with Exchange, but I guess it does it with GMail as well.

I guess the only workarounds are to either "Reply" instead of "Forwarding" or pull up GMail in a browser window.

There should be a sort of highlighted bar at the top that says something like "1 read message". Just hit that bar and it should open up the rest of the conversation.

Thanks! Still getting used to some of the more cryptic Android nuances. Tapping on "1 read message' doesn't seem like the most intuitive way to look at the original message.
