G+ messenger app within android G+ app works fine. However, I would like to be able to run Messenger on my desktop computer as well. It is much less cumbersome to type there. However, I don't seem to find any possibility to access it via G+ app in my chrome desktop browser. Also, there is no external app to run it. The only thing available is google talk, which does not include/show any of my messenger-conversations. Thanx for help!

Currently Google Messenger (Huddle) is not supported by desktop browsers.. it was built for Android mobile devices. It could be a feature that's added in the future however... for now there's Group Chat in G+ that you can use from the G+ messenger app. Google+ Help

What about Gtalk? Doesn't it work in a similar way?

Gtalk is one on one discussions only. Google messenger allows you to chat in a group discussion with multiple people.

GTalk is not just for 1-on-1 messaging. you can have group chats. And Google+ messenger is not just for Android mobile platform. They have an iOS app as well.

But yes,Google+ messenger (initially known as Huddle) is only for the mobile platforms and not for desktop/PCs/Macs.

Wait until Google Talk and and Huddle merge.

Really? i'm unable to find it.

I'm talking about the G+ Messenger from the mobile version, I don't a messenger option on the web page.

Just use Google Talk :> It's XMPP network so you can use any XMPP client to connect it

Makes me wonder why Google is doing, XMPP is open and support group chat, don't know why they create 2nd layer which is incompatible
