How do you delete a word you accidentally added to the dictionary?

I haven't found a setting for this, unless I am blind. Is there a way to take a word that was added by accident out?

Factory reset definitely works!

...the other way is probably better though.

Too bad it doesn't work for deleting words from the built-in dictionary from Swype. Some of those odd, rarely used words, get in the way of words I use much more often.

so how does one remove words that are already in the dictionary.
my always becomes NY (remove NY altogether)
like always becomes Luke (remove the Jedi)

I know in Swype, you can highlight the word and hold the Swype button. Depending on if it is a user added word, it gives you the option to delete the word. I don't think you can delete words from its own dictionary, though.
