unlocked gsm razr activation help

I have recently bought an unlocked gsm motorola razr xt910. along with the phone I have purchased a Verizon 4g lte sim card brand new/never used. And I am having trouble activating the phone. I have entered the sim card and no prompts have come up. I am not knowledgeable when it comes to activation with Sim card devices so any help would be great.
