Buying a Tablet help and App help please :)

Hello everyone

Newbie here.

Im looking at buying a tablet. Undecided about 7 or 10 inch. Was looking in the shop.....

I have to get it within 1 week or so.

I like the nexus - however I must be able to get hold of the RIO movie (for my daughter). I couldnt find it on google play. Would I be able to buy it elsewhere (say amazon), and store it on either 8gb/16gb versions?

I'm after a good skype version for the tablets too - I am not seeing much info for the nexus and this??? Anyone tried?

These are my main lines of queries........

So to summarise :

Use it for Rio movie
Skype
General web browsing

There should be a way to buy the Rio movie and use it in Nexus. i would let others answer this

Nexus 7 is really good for general browsing due to its portablility. I higly recommend going 7inch and Nexus.

Ive seen its on Itunes.........I have a digital copy (CD/Dvd), so I am not sure........

Maybe I should just buy a portable dvd player, and a nexus

We are going on a 7 hr flight - and my daughter is 1.......so u see my desperation for answers lol

If you have a DVD/CD of the movie. simply rip the movie and transfer it to your Nexus 7.

Ok everyone

Im getting a little frustrated trying to put the film on the n7..........

I have ripped the digital copy to my pc

I have hooked up the usb to the n7

I have MX Player on my n7

When I drag the wmv file to the n7, it says it can not do it because the license does not allow it

Is this DRM?

So I downloaded pavtube........

I have format set as N7 H.264 video (mp4)

Output is a user file on my pc

The added file is RIO wmv...destination file says RIO

I just tried starting it.......it was saying 2 hrs.......does that sound right?

any other pointers?

2 hours to encode a movie? Could be - it depends on the speed of the computer and the algorithm the program uses. Let it run. (It should be finished or almost finished by now.)
