do we really need 1080p ?

It sounds cool But has the battery technology gotten any better? How about the processors? I'm on a galaxy nexus. My battery sucks but I love the clarity of my screen. So is it really necessary for a 1080p display. Even tho I'm sure I'll buy one

I think we all know the answer.... No it isn't "necessary".... Here's a pic of my work phone display... Good old Samsung flip phone. The screen works but personally I'd rather have my SGS3 screen

I don't think the difference would even be noticeable between 720p displays on phones now and the upcoming 1080p displays the screens are too small to tell
