Hiya

My first post on here so be nice!

I have uploaded my entire iTunes music collection to Google. I was just wondering if they were compressed during upload or do they retain their original quality? Mine are ripped at 320kbs. Also are they streamed back to my phone at the same bit rate?

Many thanks

Simon

I uploaded my CD collection as 320kbs mp3s because it's my understanding that this is the top quality available - Music will adjust the bit rate depending on the strength of your connection, but you can set your music to only stream "high quality" which I would assume means the best bitrate possible which I would assume means that a 320kbs mp3 would stream as a 320 mp3.

Cheers for the reply and advise. I had about 195 tracks rejected because they went over the size limit per track but did manage to upload about 280 albums which was pretty cool. Mind u it took about 4 days, as it kept stopping every time my pc went to sleep. Pretty Impressive service, now I have all my music everywhere!
