I have never had a smart phone before, so this may be a very simple question. I have a Samsung Galaxy Rush phone and when I am in one of the system menus, such as notifications or settings etc, and the phone rings, I never get the green and red circles that will allow me to answer or ignore the call like I do when the phone is locked. The phone just keeps ringing until it goes to voicemail and none of the buttons seem to allow me to answer. What can I try other than dropkicking it into next week? Thanks for any help.

As it turns out, it was something very simple. I had installed a custom ringtone for my phone calls, and when it installed apparently it got set to be the ring tone for notifications as well. So since the phone wasn't actually ringing, I couldn't answer it. ** <hangs head in shame> ** Sorry to anyone who might have wasted time trying to figure it out.
