One huge thing that turned me off was the ui lagg...

Been thinking of getting a nexus 4, is it a more fluid experience?

You won't be having this issue with the newer devices on the Market today than you would have last year when that article was written. Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean have made large strides to making the UI fluid and great to use. There are third-party launcher replacements which affect the UI in great ways if you are not satisfied with a certain devices UI.

I wouldn't worry about UI issues on the Nexus 4...you might want to take a look through the Nexus 4 forums and see what people are saying about the device.

I had nexus S before. when i was using ICS on it it was laggy. then JB came out i could really see a difference. it was fluid.
Now i have a Nexus 4. its 100 times better than my Nexus S with JB. no lag what so ever.
