physical keyboard not working in browser

i have the droid4 and i love the phone but my physical keyboard acts weird in the browser. it doesn't auto-capitalize or auto-punctuate, even though i have these settings selected. also, the primary symbol on any key will work fine, but i can't create any symbol that requires me to use the shift button. it simply shows up as the original character. i don't have this problem in any other apps, or with the virtual keyboard. it's only the physical keyboard when using browser or chrome. help please....

Also need help with this. It happens on all browsers it seems. Dolphin, Chrome, even the default android browser. Someone please help!
