I have an HTC Inspire with Android 2.3.5.
When I use a web page that has a text box, and the phone is in landscape mode, when I type the first character, about half the screen goes completely black except for the keyboard and a sliver of text at the top. This only happens if the text box is partly off the bottom of the screen.
Note that this only happens in Landscape mode; and only if the text box is partly not on the screen. It's happened on three different pages. It never happens when the phone is vertical.
Mind you, it's only with a text box that is more than one row (not a text field) and only in the builtin browser. It also happend with the earlier Android.
