My daughter will be traveling this week to Spain for studies at an international school . She has a Samsung Galaxy 3, which I now find out, at least through Sprint, has no international capabilities. I called Sprint, and they said she would need to download a 3rd party app. This would allow her to use a wi-fi connection to at least have some data capabilities. I did find a free app called Yuilop that will allow her to use voice and texting functions for free, guess with like a VoIP type of setup??? It says it works over the internet with connection through either wi-fi or 3G service. Does this mean as long as there is cell service in her area she can use the phone? Or, since the phone has no other connection in Spain, it will be wi-fi only? If she can connect through the 3G service, does anyone who has used this app know if there is any other charges through Sprint? Sprint says no, but I am not sure I trust that completely. Thanks!
