Holsters with magnetic closure

Coming from a BB Storm 2 to the Droid 2 Ive found that my magnetic case puts my phone into car dock mode instead of putting it to sleep. Is there a setting somewhere that changes how my Droid 2 reacts to the magnetic closure that most holsters use and that I greatly prefer over a Velcro closure?

Unfortunately that is a known issue, Verizon sales reps will tell you that it is not. (helps sell more overpriced cases) Don't know of any settings changes but would also love to hear if there are any out there. I have always just placed screen side closer to magnet but car dock always flashes when I slide it inand out.
