I have 3 email addresses (2 Hotmail and 1 other) synced to my Galaxy S3. They receive emails, and I can send emails fine, but the when I read an email on the phone, it does not mark it as read in the internet browser. Likewise if I read an email on my computer, it is not marked as read on the phone. This happens on both the Hotmail accounts, but not with the other account (a university account that I think uses outlook settings).
The communication isn't breaking down on Hotmail's end, as it snycs well with the Windows 8 Mail app that I am using, therefore there must be some issue with the setup on the phone.
As I said, sending and receiving emails is fine, it's just that it gets frustrating after a while needing to regularly clean out the inbox on both the phone and computer browser.
Any ideas about how to fix it?
