I live in the UK - where the Google Play edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 isn't available via Google Play yet, but I was wondering, will it be possible in the future to switch from having the Android 4.2 system on my Samsung Galaxy S4, and switch to the Google Play software? I watched a comparison video and it looks and seems much better.

Sorry if I seem stupid haha - I'm new to Android. This is my first Android phone and I love it.

My S4 is the i9505 UK/international 4G/LTE model - using the Three UK network.

You will need to root the phone then install custom software based on stock Android 4.2.2. I don't think there will be an official way to install the software.

Agreed. The closest you can get on a branded device to aosp software is to install a custom Rom built off AOSP. Unfortunately you can't install official Google Play device android software.
