Newb in need of a recomandation

Exactly my point! So I'm guessing a downgrade would make it run better, but I also wanted a professional opinion, since I use iOS and never used Android for myself(not doing it right now but my girlfriend knows as much as I know about it, that meaning nothing ^^).

Something to keep in mind: we are dealing with a much older phone that may have a hard time dealing with 4.2.2.

Thanks for the replies, guys! It makes sense that the phone is not running so well with a newer software, like the 4.2.2 I go, so I guess the best thing to do is install the stock version of it, and I will do that .

If that doesn't work out do an older custom ROM.

Scott makes a good point on OTAs. Those may help more than trying to find a ROM that works best.

I'm pretty sure it's an EOL device, however if some pressing thing happens, or better radios become compatible, I guess there's a possibility of an OTA.

Now would be a wonderful time to move. So many options coming out in the next month or so.
Note 3, Moto X, LG G2, and the already established HTC One, and S4.
