Motochopper+others appear to be broken, judging from a google search.

Do I NEED an SD Card, or is there another way?

I don't have an S4, so the process is a bit new to me. However, looking over the information provided by DroidXcon (http://forums.androidcentral.com/sam...galaxy-s4.html) it does not look like you need an external sd card. All you need is to download the files, which can be handled by the internal sd card or preferably the desktop pc, then connect your device to a pc and follow the instructions.

IF you need help take a look at the above thread and post there or let us know here what problems, if any, you are having.

Josiah's method no longer works on the new firmware.

I tried srkmagnus's method, it doesn't work>.> At least for me. At the end of the batch file script it will say

Success, you are rooted, press enter to reboot!

Then, superuser will ask me to update su binaries on reboot, and say "superuser failed to update, please send log to developer"
    Rootchecker says im not rooted

Yep, this is how far I got. Don't have any micro SD cards so I'm waiting for a soft solution.
