I'm looking for an app to make my phone or tablet ring/vibrate whatever remotely. So that when I lose it in the couch or something I find it again with having my wife call me. Ideally it would be nice to be able to trigger it from an Android device or computer. Also something with an account so I can trigger either one of my devices.

Lots and lots of security apps out there that have a locate phone option, typically with a way to make the phone emit a loud sound. Check out Lookout, which gives you the option to make the phone "scream" remotely.

If you're really picky about how it works, you can use Tasker and AutoRemote to get your phone or tablet to do just about anything remotely. The learning curve will be super steep compared to using a dedicated app, though.
