I have an HTC evo 4g, and a 32gb sd card in it. When It's mounted it causes my phone to continuously restart, and sometimes malfunction in other ways. However, occasionally when I mount it, it goes back to working for a while, and all of the data is intact. I could put it in my pc when I get an adapter, but I don't want to chance it damaging the pc if it has something infectious on it. Every time I tested it, it came up with no viruses and such, but I still don't dare to try. Can I fix it or test it to find out what's wrong with it? Any help you can give would be much appreciated.

    Welcome to the forums!

SD cards can sometimes cause problems it seems. We mostly hear of these types of issues with Samsung devices (makes sense since they're the ones that still largely offer this functionality). My suggestion would be to try to format the mSD card IN your phone and see if it acts any better.

Okay, thank you! But would it be safe to do a backup the stuff on it on my computer?

Great, thanks! I haven't had much luck with computers, and my new one was kind of expensive, so I don't want to take any risks that aren't absolutely necessary. Thanks again!

Let us know how it goes. You may also be better off leaving the card out.

Yeah, I will have to get a new one if I can't fix it.
