Question about resetting battery stats?

Hi,

I have my factory battery and a generic one I got off of eBay. My battery stats don't always seem too accurate so I was going to reset them but I'm unsure if this is simply because I'm using two different batteries and the phone is recording it as one. If I reset the stats and do the charge process for each battery will it reflect more accurately than before or will it always be biased because I'm always switching between batteries when one dies? Is there a possibility that it is inaccurate because even though both batteries are rated at 1500 mAh (per the label) the generic one may be less than that?

Give the replacement battery a few charge cycles then retest it. If it still shows a discrepancy, then that could be attributed to either a bad original battery or bad generic battery. It's hard to say for sure which one is the culprit.
