I have a cable box, PVR and DVD player connected through HDMI to my TV. I live on my own, and would prefer that I could watch the TV signal on my Android Nexus running Android 4.2 rather than turning on the TV itself. So I want to intercept the HDMI signal going to the TV (presumably using a dongle), send it over wifi to my tablet, and watch it on the tablet.
All the instructions go the other way, mirroring the Android screen on a TV instead of mirroring the TV on my Android.
Does anybody know if this is possible, and how I would go about doing it?
