Help...my old phone won't turn on

When I transferred service to my new phone Note 3...my old phone won't turn on ....A DROID Razr. I don't understand why this happened. ...can someone offer suggestions on how to turn it on..I've tried everything. ,.and I need to get some things out of this phone

How long did you hold the power button down for? Sometimes you have to hold it down for a good 10 seconds or so. Also, try leaving it plugged into a wall outlet for a good 12 hrs or so to make sure it's fully charged.

This is all assuming that the old phone didn't sit in a drawer for a year after you turned it off (which would probably have destroyed the battery).
