We got our sons some tablets and one is having some issues I do not understand. It is an RCA tablet running version 4.2.2
Here is a pic of my confusion. Would like to resolve without a reset...if possible. A little blurry so what is says if you can't read it is:
    Total Space 8g
    Firmware 2.36g
    Total Space 5.79g
    Available 57.66mb
    Apps 1.53g
    Cached Data 12.33mb
    Misc 27.71mb
The large grey part on the bar is supposed to represent available space..which is twice the size as what the app space is taking up
    New to Tablets...Plz Help w/Storage Issue-img_0159.jpg

    Welcome to the forums.
There may be an app that is incorrectly reporting it's storage space to Android. However, that would require uninstalling each app you have one by one.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any way to tell which app could be reporting incorrect info before deleting?

Unfortunately, no. At least not that I am aware of.
You may have to reset it if you haven't done so already.

Welcome to Android Central! Is the issue affecting the tablet adversely at all? Are you getting low memory errors, or did you just notice this incidentally? If you're not having any issues, and you have a lot of data on your tablet, I'd be inclined to leave it alone unless or until you do start getting warning or error messages. If the device is pretty new, without much data on it, then I agree with Golfdriver97, a factory data reset might help.
