I live in rural Australia where I connect to Telstra's 3G network with my mobile (cell) phone with perfect results.

I have now bought a generic named 3G phablet which will not work at all, despite me walking all over the country-side trying to get a signal.

What I'm now wondering is if I can get the same (or any) signal (that the mobile gets) on the phablet, if I Bluetooth them.

The BIG question is: Do I need another SIM Card in the mobile to do this? I've taken the SIM Card from the mobile and installed in the phablet.

This arrangement works well when I'm in town, but the closer I get to home, the worse the signal.

Thanks for everyone for any advice.
