I've only had my Nexus 5 about two weeks so I'm very new to android so apologies if this is a n00b question.

How do you get the expanded widgets (via lock screen) on the home screen?

The versions on the home screen are tiny and I can't get them to expand, I'm not sure if I'm overlooking a setting or something.

I did a google search and turned up nothing but I keep seeing images of people having expanded dashclock looking widgets on their homescreen so it must be possible. :/

I hid the clock hoping that'd force them underneath it and expanded but nada.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

I don't think you can expand the homescreen widget, but the lock screen one, yes. Grab the time and pull it down. You will see the settings icon next to it. Click it and you can go into settings of Dashclock and add more extensions, and change the current one's settings.

I believe someguy01234 is correct--press and hold the homescreen widget until you feel it vibrate. You should then see some borders appear around the widget. You can then drag those borders to expand the widget.
