When a new text comes in, I get the little envelope icon notification in the status bar of my homescreen. That's fine. However, I don't always read my texts right away and even after I open the "drawer" and press "clear" to clear the notifications, I continue to get periodic notifications on the bar for the now old, but still unread texts. This is driving me crazy. Whenever I get the status bar text notification, I assume that a NEW text has come in, but often it's just a reminder of the mssg(s) that have yet to be unread or opened. How can I set it so that I only get notifications of a text ONE TIME, regardless of whether I read/open the message, and not constant reminders of unread texts? The only setting option I could find was a way to set the number of reminders, but I don't think that's what I need. There's no option for "0", and even when set at "1", I still get ongoing reminders of old texts. Can anyone help? Thanks!
