every time I chose a pic and I email it from the Gallery app when I come back to the folder all the pics are black out . I have to close the app completely close,so the pictures show up again when I open the app.Any one having this issue .Nexus 5 KitKat 4.4.2. running on ART

Have you tried clearing the cache in Gallery? Settings> Apps> swipe over to All Apps> scroll down to Gallery> click> click clear cache.

If that doesn't work you may want to try shutting down the device and removing the battery (if your device allows that) for, say, 10 minutes. Then replace it and start up again.

Have you tried a different app, like QuickPic? Remember, Gallery was written for Dalvik, it may have a bug in ART. (Although the book says no, sometimes things happen that aren't sup[osed to.)
