Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus Not Holding Charge

My Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus is not holding the charge, everynight I put it to charge, I used less than an hr during the day and then the charge is gone!!! Do I need a new battery, or a firmware update? What's wrong here??

My 7 plus was having wake lock issues where some apps were draining the battery while at rest. But, if not that or a rogue app eating your battery, it just might be age. Mine is already two and a half years old on the original battery.

If you conditioned the battery when you got the tab, and recharged it when it went down to about 50%, you can expect anywhere between 18-24 months of use. Any more than that is a gift. Batteries re "consumables" - they're supposed to have to be replaced periodically, iike tires on cars.
