HELP! HTC One aborts

I unlocked and thought I rooted my 2013 HTC One. However, when I try to update to KitKat (or anything else) I get a message saying installation aborted.

I tried to RUU the phone back to factory but it doesn't seem to want to do that either.

Any ideas?

Check to see if you do indeed have root access. If you do, them updating via OTA isn't the way to go. You can just flash a stock 4.4 ROM.

It tried to do an OTA and said installation aborted, then rebooted. Also, I can't seem to find a clean kitkat 4.4 rom to download and sideload to see if that will fix the problem.

I did try to s-off but it won't let me do that even.

I'd first check to see if you have in fact unlocked the bootloader. That right there sounds like the problem, and I'm not sure that you can just flash a RUU and be back to complete "stock". There might be a process to relock the bootloader.

I have tried to RUU the phone, which it doesn't seem to be able to do that either.

I can't get S-Off to work either.

Is there anyway to force a complete reload of everything?

Thanks
