Playstore not working

I can't use Google Play Store app on my Bitmore 1060 tablet. When i run it, it says 'Unfortunately Google Play has stopped working' and then closes. What should i do to make it work? I cleared its cache and data and reinstalled but didn't helped.

Did the tablet come with Google Play pre-installed? Or did you have to install it yourself? If the latter, it may be that your tablet isn't compatible with or certified for Google Play. Not all devices are certified, especially the lesser known ones.

The device did not come with Google Play pre-installed. I installed it myself.

I think that's the problem. The device is not certified for Google Play. Can you install Amazon Appstore? That's probably the next best thing. Go to amazon.com/amazonappstoreapp on your device's browser, and follow the instructions there.
