Retrieving a lost password on Sony Xperia SP

Hello,

Any advice on unlocking the above phone model if I have forgotten the pattern that i initially drew? The thing is, I'm pretty sure that the pattern I am using is correct, but it just seems to not be able to unlock suddenly.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you just not used the phone for a while? On many phones, if you fail the pattern enough times, it asks for your Google credentials--does your phone do that?
