I have been trying to backup my htc one m8 for quite some time, but the backup always stop halfway, then showing that the backup failed.. I changed the storage drive from dropbox to Google drive also can't work.. right now, I don't have a single backup, and I'm quite lazy to backup the files one by one locally... Any ways to fix this and use the HTC backup required?

Sounds like a bad internet path to the west coast of the US. Have you tried on both wifi and mobile data? They'll probably give you different paths (because they enter the Internet at different places).

It seems that the service is bugged in a major way.

I have tried all the suggestions they say you should try at HTC support and they all fail.

    I have tried:
    • New HTC account
    • Removing Facebook
    • Re-installing Facebook
    • Sync to Dropbox
    • Sync to Google Drive
    • I even used a third party application, made full backup, restored phone to factory default and tried to make HTC Backup to work but no go (Got all back from third party software without problem

So I guess that HTC support isn't going to solve this one and I will NEVER EVER install HTC Sync Manager since that one SUCKS.
