Will updating firmware via Kies Lock my Unlocked Galaxy Mega?

Hi,

I need an answer as quick as possible...please..

I have an AT&T Samsun Galaxy Mega which is unlocked for use with MetroPCS (has MetroPCS sim card)

If I update firmware, or any kind of updates, via Kies, will this Lock my unlocked phone?

Does anyone know at all? I would be so grateful. There is a firmware update available for my phone but I do not want to do it if it will lock my unlocked phone.

Locking and firmware have nothing to do with one another, so the answer to your question is no. If it were that simple, everyone who wanted to unlock their phone would flash an "unlocked ROM" (there is no such thing, because locking isn't done there).
