buying a cell phone from Amazon

Does anyone know if I can switch phones with a phone I purchased through Amazon with a new contract? I will keep the additional line for my daughter but she wants my phone and I was going to use the new phone on my line after I activated the new line?

Re: buying a cell phone from Amazon

Assuming the phone will work technically on your carrier and, if it's Verizon, they accept that ESN, or if it's Sprint it's a Sprint phone, yes. (AT&T and TMobile don't care, so as long as the phone isn't SIM-locked [won't use that carrier's SIM], you're good. The same holds for the virtual operators - Cricket, Boost, Straight Talk, etc. It depends on which carrier you're on.)

If you tell us which model number (and make, of course) phone and which carrier, we can get closer to a real answer.
